We will be carrying out minor carriageway and kerbing works, in preparation for major footway improvement scheme, which is due to start in early January 2014. These works on Worcester Road are being undertaken on behalf of Worcestershire County Council and are programmed to start on Monday 2nd December and to last approximately 7 days.
The preparatory works involve removing the traffic calming table top junction at Station Street / Worcester Road and removing the build-out and installing new kerbs at the junction of George Street / Worcester Road.
The road will remain open for access and we will endeavour to keep any disruption to a minimum, we would appreciate your patience and cooperation during the completion of these works. To assist us in carrying out these works please do not park in the areas where cones or barriers have been installed to prevent parking. Please be aware that access for emergency vehicles will be maintained at all times. If you require any special provisions please contact us and we will do our best to assist.
The Public Liaison Officer for these works will be Terry Godwin who will visit the site throughout the works to answer any queries that you may have. We will update this blog on the progression of these works on a daily basis (Monday to Friday), so please ensure you visit regularly.
